Pelican Predator Boat

This has been a great small boat for me. I'm 230 lbs, with a 30# trolling motor the boat moves along great. I've had myself and a 250 lbs fishing buddy and the boat did fine. Very stable for it's size. Would definately recommend

A fishing machine

I bought the Predator, trailer, trolling motor, and 2 hp Honda four-stroke for $1500 (it was a steal!). I've since taken it out about 10 times on our local lake and I love it! The boat is stable enough to handle boat wakes and big enough that my wife, our Sheltie, and I can all fit on it comfortably (the sheltie sits on top of the battery compartment). It is an art form to switch seats but not horrible. You can also jump in the water for a swim and get back in the boat without it capsizing. The boat is light enough that we can live it off the trailer to clean or work on the trailer. We get a lot of looks on it, as it looks almost like a miniature ski boat rather than a jon boat. The only downside I've seen is that the livewell is aerated by a tube that goes out to the back of the boat, so it's supposed to automatically aerate by the natural movement of the water. However, this tube tends to clog and prevent water from coming into the tank and filling it up (a portable aerator can be used if really necessary). Highly recommend for the money.
